Around the world in 1 day! |
Wake up in Amsterdam, fly over the Scandinavian forests, relax in India, celebrate in New Orleans, take a swim on the Costa del Sol, play around in Monte Carlo and head over to Sydney for an after party. All in one day. This may sound ambitious, and indeed, it is!
Day-Trip takes place on Saturday June 14th and is the first festival of its kind. It’s an event where you can not tell the difference between foreigners and locals, because they all behave like total tourists. There are 5 destinations with bands, dj’s, interactive theatre and surprise acts. If you are looking for a standard day out in Amsterdam, then please look elsewhere. But if you like to go bananas, then you may have found the perfect excuse… |

| You can be a tourist too! |
|
 |
It is no shame to be a tourist. Tourists have fun. They travel in search for something they don’t have at home, and usually they find it. They smile and make loads of pictures. Sure, some of them experience their whole vacation through a camera lens, but they’re still getting a new and unique perspective on their little world. It beats reading newspapers!
A tourist never walks alone. Even if he sets out by himself, he’ll meet people along the way to enjoy his free time with. Tourists are most often seen in big groups of like minded people. They have pretty funny outfits and they don’t know what’s going to happen next. Doesn’t all this sound just like a festival? Bring out the inner tourist in you and join us on the first festival that celebrates tourism the way it deserves.

The festival is to be held at the Sloterparkbad in Amsterdam West. It has everything a true tourist could wish for, and more! Enjoy nice views over the lake, while the kids are playing on the green grass. There are trees for shade, tents for shelter and outdoor swimming pools for exposure. On top of that, it is easily reached from the city center by public transport or by bike!
